On the way back from Omaha and the annual convention of the UNION PACIFIC HISTORICAL SOCIETY, George and I stopped near Primm, Nevada, on the California side of the border, to get a closer look at the solar power plants. The white hot solar receivers stand out starkly against the backdrop of the Mojave Desert landscape; it is a sight hard to ignore. All in all, the plants are visually impressive and worthy of a few minutes delay.
