I have not written anything for a long time. I have been laboring under the misapprehension that I was not in a frame of mind to do much of anything. Upon reflection, I realized that I was just bummed out because of what I perceive as the disastrous course that our country is taking. I was cognitively immobilized by my perception of my being forced to be an unwilling participant in a future societal trainwreck. Recent events have convinced me that we are now in that train wreck – a train wreck is the only metaphor I can think of fits what is happening to us. Every day brings us news of some new calamity that has fallen upon us. Everywhere I look I see gross malfeasance by our ‘leaders’ which has engendered the suspicion on my part of any and all pronouncements by out government about just about every subject you can imagine. No wonder that my safety valve has been activated.
THAT ROARING SOUND YOU HEAR IS MY SAFETY VALVE LIFTING
